Emily Buchinger
Spanish
Emily Buchinger teaches Spanish at Redeemer. Born in Michigan, she moved to Belvidere, Illinois, where she attended Immanuel Lutheran School from 1st to 8th grade. She graduated from Belvidere High School and went on to pursue a degree in Spanish (K-12) Education at Concordia University Wisconsin. She also enjoyed the wonderful experience of studying abroad in Granada, Spain, for one semester of her junior year. In addition to Spanish, Emily loves to play tennis, be outdoors, and spend time with her family. Her parents teach at a Lutheran school in Indiana where her dad is also the principal. She has two older sisters – Bethany, who is a teacher, and Christine, who is a deaconess. Emily feels very blessed by God and is looking forward to serving Him by teaching Spanish at Mayer Lutheran High School and five surrounding Lutheran elementary schools, including Redeemer.
