Worship Ministry
The purposes, goals, and passions of Redeemer’s Worship Ministries are to welcome all worshippers and to work together to make each worship opportunity rich and meaningful.
Welcome and greet members of our Church Family and visitors as they enter church on Sunday. Minimal commitment, warm or cold hands, smiles a must! (Helps, Hospitalitiy, Serving)
This group of dedicated women prepares the bread and wine for Holy Communion, launder and press the communion cloths, and keep the altar area clean and properly organized. Teams of 2 or 3 take one month shifts so the job is enjoyable, easy to do, and infrequent. A wonderful way to serve and honor our Lord. (Artistry, Helps, Serving)
Opportunity to hold the sweetest babies in town. Help is always needed in the nursery so that parents of young ones (remember those days?) can have the privilege of worshiping the Lord. This is also the most visible “asset” we have to offer parents searching for a church home. Many volunteers would make this commitment simple. (Helps, Leadership,Mercy)
In worship on Sundays, at least one Bible Reading is read by lay people. Use your voice to enhance our worship by reading this section of God’s Word. How often you read – and which Sunday you read - is up to you. (Knowledge, Speech)
St. Paul wrote to the Christians in Rome, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing…” (Rom. 10:17) We know how important it is to have good sound in our worship so everyone can hear the message and music clearly proclaiming the Word of God. We have a dedicated group of sound techs and music media servants, but there’s always room for more. To get involved, contact Tim Graf, Steve Swanlund, or Pam Whightsil. Prior experience is not necessary; we can provide you with training, encouragement, and experience!
A good job for those with busy schedules. You are here anyway. You can attend church and serve the Lord at the same time. Perfect for singles, couples and families. (Helps, Leadership, Serving)
Periodic help with sharing parts of the worship service – particularly when we have a guest pastor. (Intercession, Leadership, Wisdom)
Periodically there are short dramas during the worship service that help illustrate the lesson or pastor’s sermon. If you have a little bit of extra time and a willing heart to bring these dramas to life, your talents can be of service here. (Exhortation, Knowledge, Speech)
