Redeemer Lutheran believes and teaches that God is real. He is not some unnamed, impersonal “force” in the universe. The Bible shows us the one real God is three distinct persons in one divine being. The Bible gives the names of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father has created us all, the Son has redeemed us, and the Holy Spirit calls us to faith and strengthens us in this faith.

The Bible is the sole source for directing our faith and action. Through the Bible, the Word of God, we get to know God and His will and love for us. We discover God’s great love for us in His Son, Jesus. Jesus is both true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a woman named Mary. Jesus lived a perfect life for us, since we cannot be perfect. He was the one who died so that we would be forgiven. But Jesus didn’t stay dead for long – He came back to life, and appeared to many people for forty days after He came back to life (His “resurrection”).

After forty days He visibly ascended to heaven, and we wait for the day of His promised return.

But in the mean time Jesus has called us to be active in our mission and sharing of Him. Through our sharing of Jesus and the good news about Jesus, the Holy Spirit brings people to faith in Jesus. We also celebrate as the Holy Spirit is actively bringing people to Jesus through the water and Word of Holy Baptism. We also regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper (also called “communion”) as Jesus gives us His body and blood in a miraculous way in, with, and under the bread and wine in the Lord’s Supper.

We celebrate that everyone who calls on the name of Jesus Christ will be saved. Redeemer Lutheran Church and School is joyfully a member congregation of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. (www.lcms.org).
